The Lodge cast iron foundry has also taken a role in it's community's eco-responsibility. Their factory continues to reduce it's hazardous waste emissions, winning the Governor's Award in 1994, as well as a cardboard recycling program, reuse of foundry sand and a continuing tree planting project to reduce their carbon footprint.
