Customer Service

CentralChef product experts stand ready to assist with your purchases. While we aim to include as much product information in our item descriptions we realize that additional information may be required to make an educated choice. You can contact us by eMail and by phone at 813-254-6112.

Ordering

Placing your order on line is quick and simple. After an order is placed you may log in and review your order at any time. Shipping information will be updated and available when you log in to view your order. We will also update you with a tracking number for your shipment once available. Our system begins processing your order the instant the order is placed, as a result cancellation of an order is not possible. Please see our return policy for other available options.

Shipping Costs and Methods:

    Calculating - our shopping cart calculates your shipping cost based on weight and shipping zone. In addition to ground shipping options, expedited shipment methods are available and those rates will show as available shipping options that you may select as you checkout. We will always provide the total costs before you checkout. Always make certain you provide correct shipping address and zip codes as undeliverable shipments will incur additional shipping fees.

    Note: Some items cannot be expedited due to a product's size, weight, or vendor constraints.

    1-Day and 2-Day Shipping - Selecting 1-day or 2-day shipping will ensure that your order arrives as quickly as possible. It is important to note that 1-Day and 2-Day refer to the amount of business days it takes for the package to arrive after it ships out from our warehouse, not the amount of time it takes after you have placed the order.

    Please note that there is no weekend delivery or pickup service for our 1-Day or 2-Day delivery options.

    Standard Delivery - Orders shipped using the Standard Delivery method will arrive 3-5 business days after the order has been shipped.

    Shipping Partners - FedEx and US Postal Service have partnered with us to coordinate the delivery of your purchases as quickly as possible. Upon shipment we will email you a notification that will include tracking information for your parcel. You may also CLICK HERE to check your order status and package tracking

    Free Shipping Offers - We offer free shipping on some products at CentralChef.com, those products are notated in the description as a free shipping offer. During other periods of special promotion, we offer free shipping on all products from Central Chef. Our current Free Shipping offer is available for purchases amounts of $125 or more from any of our kitchenwares from all our categories. Use promotion code FFSPF . Our Free Shipping Policy applies only to domestic ground delivery to a physical address in the contiguous United States. Free shipping promotion is not valid for Hawaii, Alaska, P.O. Boxes, APO, PPO, US protectorates or International. Our regular shipping will apply for all other regions. In the event you return or exchange an item purchased under a free shipping offer, we will deduct a shipping cost charge before processing a refund. Our free shipping offer may end without notice and is not valid for products from our family of other websites unless those items are listed in the Central Chef categories.

    International shipping charges are determined by the destination of the items and the dimensional weight of the parcel. You will incur costs for customs duty, taxes and brokerage fee when importing our products to your country, You may be required to pay these costs at delivery or a short time after. We reserve the right to charge your credit card for these costs if they go unpaid, so we request your cooperation in paying these fees on a timely basis. Our Return Policy

If you find you need to return an item you must request an RMA number and follow the below guidelines;
  • Returns are allowed within 14 days of delivery. *Some exceptions, apply see below
  • Items eligible for returns or exchanges must be new, unused and contain all original product packaging and accessories.
  • Once issued, RMA is valid for 14 days and expires afterwards
  • Used products may not be returned
  • Use a shipping method that provides insurance and a tracking number as CentralChef is not responsible for items lost or damaged during the return process
  • Customer is responsible for all shipping charges incurred, including shipping of returned items.
  • In the event you return an item purchased under a free shipping offer, we will deduct the shipping cost charge before processing a refund.

*Exceptions:
  • Returns received with damaged or missing packaging are subject to a minimum restocking fee of 25% of purchase price or may at our option not be accepted for return.
  • Any used product will be refused and returned to the customer at customer's expense.
  • Food Items are not returnable or exchangeable under any circumstances
  • Unauthorized refusal of delivery is not a valid method of return and will incur return shipping fees and a min 25% restock fee

We make every attempt to process returns and exchanges as quickly as possible, however, the entire process may take up to 4-6 weeks. Please allow at least two weeks from the date you ship your return before inquiring on your return status.

Our Exchange Policy


Please follow all our policies listed in our return policy with the following additions:
  • When filling out the Exchange Request Form, be sure to answer all fields.
  • Include your daytime phone number so we may better assist you with your exchange
  • All shipping expenses are the responsibility of the customer
  • In the event you exchange an item purchased under a free shipping offer, we will deduct the shipping cost charge before processing a refund.

Damaged or Defective Product Policy

Contact us within 72 hours of receipt by filling out the Damaged Item Form and choosing "damaged" from the drop-down menu. Damaged or Defective items must be reported through this form.
  • Retain all boxes and packaging materials, inserts and warranty cards
  • Contact us within 72 hours of receipt to report problem
  • For defective products provide DETAILED explanation of defect/issue
  • We replace damaged or defective products with same product model
  • Failure to follow our policies or reporting using an incorrect form will void your claim.
Helpful Hints: Manufacture's warranties begin coverage immediately and are in force after our grace period ends. Contact the manufacturer directly for prompt service

Colors:

We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colors of the products shown on this Web site. However, because the colors you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitors display of any color will be accurate.

Warranties

CentralChef warranties all products we sell for a period of 30 days from date of purchase when the product is used as it was designed and for the intended purpose. Many of our products also come with a manufacturer's warranty which are available during this 30 day window and beyond and are included with your order when applicable.

What is California Proposition 65

Like most fine crystal glasses, some of our Riedel or other crystal glassware is made using lead. In accordance with Proposition 65, we issue the following warning to our California customers: "Use of this product will expose you to lead and/or cadmium, chemicals known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm."

Ceramics and Dinnerware

Our manufacturers test all of our dinnerware, glassware and other items used for serving food to ensure that they meet FDA and California Proposition 65 requirements for lead and cadmium. In accordance with Proposition 65, for glazes that meet FDA standards but exceed Prop 65, we issue the following warning to our California customers: "The materials used as colored decorations on the exterior of this product contain lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm." If the interior or pouring lip of a serving vessel is finished with a glaze that contains lead, we issue the following warning: "Use of this product will expose you to lead and/or cadmium, chemicals known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm."

Gourmet Home Collection and Proposition 65

Ceramics of the Gourmet Home collection are finished with an extra coat of translucent lead free FDA approved lacquer designed to act as a barrier and protect users in instances where small amount of lead in paint which may be used as colored decorations on the exterior of this product. The interiors of the Gourmet Home Collection always feature lead-free paints. In accordance with Proposition 65, for glazes that meet FDA standards but exceed Prop 65, we issue the following warning to our California customers: "The materials used as colored decorations on the exterior of this product contain lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm."
